ADDICTION
Substance abuse can impact your daily functioning at work, how you interact with family and friends and your overall mental health. It can lead to intense emotional pain and serious physical health risks. I am here to help you learn how to identify your triggers and high-risk environments, cope with cravings and focus on personal growth and improved relationships in order to establish long-term recovery.
Depression
Feeling depressed is common. You may be experiencing insomnia, fatigue, change in appetite or weight gain, loneliness, hopelessness and guilt. Going to work and socializing can be particularly challenging. We will work towards reducing your negative thinking and identify how to re-engage in life and feel more joyful.
Anxiety
Living in New York can feel fast-paced and demanding for anyone. You may experience shortness of breath and difficulty eating and sleeping. Maybe you worry excessively about work and relationships, procrastinate from doing tasks and isolate from friends and family. You and I will examine the underlying reasons for your behavior and emotional responses, develop new coping skills which include mindfulness exercises and also work on assertiveness training.
LIFE TRANSITIONS
Life is unpredictable and often you can feel surprised and unprepared for change whether it is starting a new job, retiring, moving to a new town, dealing with a medical diagnosis, divorce or seeing your children move out. Together we will process your feelings, learn how to adjust and develop personal fulfillment in this new period of your life.
